Although the firm does not represent persons before the Immigration Court, we are of counsel to the law firm of Shortstein, Lasnetski & Gihon, P.A., which has an outstanding reputation in the areas of “crimmigration” and removal defense. Deborah works closely with Attorney John Gihon, formerly a Senior Attorney with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), to ensure that any of our firm’s clients requiring removal defense are extremely well-represented.
As a prospective client, you can be assured of the competence of the law firm. Deborah is only one of a limited number of attorneys who are Florida Bar board certified in the area of immigration and nationality law. She was chosen as one of Florida’s “Super Lawyers” in the area of immigration and nationality law for the years 2006-2009 and most recently, in 2015 and 2016. She is the recipient of the awards for "Excellence in the Practice of Immigration Law" and "Outstanding Contributions to the Practice of Immigration Law" from the Central Florida Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association in 2011 and 2009, respectively.
